Important Points to Know about Stainless Steel Flex Hose

A stainless steel flex hose is engineered particularly for the use of an inlet and outlet connections to joints. It prevents pipe stains from creating stress or tension on the rotary joint. Additionally, it never restricts the built-in flexibility of joints.
  •  Prevents pipe strain
  •  Designed particularly for rotary joints
  •  Provides great flexibility during installation and operation
  •  Reduces tension on rotary joints and internal components

  • Sizes range from 1/4" to 8”
  • Stainless steel corrugated lining
  • Available in custom lengths
  • Flanged and threaded couplings

Flexible Hose:

You can find flexible hoses in various sizes from 1/4" to 8”; couplings are flanged, threaded, or can be found in various combinations. The below mentioned table lists the minimum length for each pipe size, other lengths can be designed as per the application.

Flexible hose recommendation for rotary joints:

  • Flexi hose is used for minimizing pipe loads because of thermal expansion of process equipment or piping. When the equipment vibrates or moves, the flexible metal hose absorbs the motion with minimum effect on the rotary joint.
  • It is important that the piping should be supported independent of the rotary joint. However, it does not support piping with the rotary joint.
  • Flexible hose must be attached directly to the joint between rotary joint and flexible piping.
