A flexible PVC hose like usual garden hose can be broken or punctured very easily. It can also get damages, if water is left inside in a cold temperature. But there is no need to worry as it can be repaired simply by following a few easy steps. You can buy a hose repair kit to fix the broken flexible PVC hose.

This kit is complied of a piece of tubing which fits inside the hose and 2 clamps that are attached to the outer area of the hose close to the ends of interior tubing. Different kits are offered for 5/8-, 3/8-, and 1-inch hoses.

Instructions to Repair Flexible PVC Hose:

  • Turn on water to locate the damaged area with the hose. Now, you can mark that area using a felt-tip pen. Once you are done with marking, turn off the water.

  • Use a utility knife to cut the hose 1/2 inch on both the sides.

  • Add some soapy water and then pour the mixer into the interior of each end of the hose. This way you can lubricate the insides of the hose. Now push middle of the interior tube into the ends of hose. Thereafter push the other halfway of the interior tube into another pipe’s end.

  • Place both of the clamps around the hose, and position them so it is easier to join them properly. Make sure to tighten the clamps with a screwdriver. This way you can simply repair your flexible PVC hose.
